Meet Our Founder
Dr Jennifer Smith graduated from King’s College London in 2013 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, building a strong clinical foundation in anatomy, patient care, and restorative health. After more than 13 years in dentistry and traditional aesthetic medicine, she became increasingly frustrated by approaches to healthcare that focused on isolated symptoms and treatments without considering the wider picture of health and wellbeing.
Her work gradually shifted toward a more integrative understanding of the relationship between stress, the nervous system, skin health, hair health, lifestyle, and the body’s ability to heal and regenerate.
Through travel and exploring approaches to wellbeing across different cultures, Dr Smith became inspired by traditional healing practices and ancient wisdom that view health through a more connected and whole-person lens.
ŌRA was created from this philosophy, a modern space that honours both modern medicine and ancient wisdom through a more thoughtful, sensory, and human-centred approach to wellbeing.
Rather than viewing skin and self-care in isolation, ŌRA approaches them as reflections of overall wellbeing, recognising the connection between internal and external health.

Meet Orium's Founder
Dr Jennifer Smith graduated from King’s College London in 2013 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, providing a strong clinical foundation in facial anatomy, function, and patient care. She has been practising dentistry for over 13 years and has worked in facial aesthetics since 2017, alongside ongoing postgraduate training in aesthetic and regenerative medicine.
Her work is shaped by an understanding of the face as a functional system, influenced by structure, muscle activity, skin quality, and ageing over time. Rather than focusing solely on surface changes, Dr Smith takes a long-term, medical approach to facial ageing, recognising how patterns of movement, stress physiology, and biological change contribute to how the face looks and functions.
Alongside her clinical practice, she is developing Mode by Orium, a body of research investigating how internal states and cognitive patterns influence biological signalling, adaptation, and the trajectory of ageing.
Her approach is grounded in careful assessment and ethical clinical judgement, ensuring treatments are purposeful and aligned with long-term facial health.
